I walk by these two on my way to work every day. Today was the first time I decided to stop and take a picture. It would be interesting to see both of them in action—maybe I’ll be lucky enough to witness it someday, and even luckier to have my camera with me.

In other news, I’ve added the archives section. For now the links are names of images, but I am hoping to add thumbnail views this weekend in order to make it easier to browse the archives.

It’s getting really cold in New York: today it dropped below 60F, and with the wind sheer it was probably closer to 50. I’m really looking forward to the leaves changing color so I can get some great shots of my back yard—Central Park. But more importantly, I’m looking forward to my trip to Ithaca in a few weeks to visit my sister; that should be quite a photo opportunity.

I want to thank those of you that have been visiting thus far; it makes all this worthwhile. Although the main motivation behind this blog is to improve my photography, if in the process my work helps to brighten or inspire someone’s day—well, then it just makes it all even better.
